How productively use a traffic rotator!

What is a traffic rotator? How can you benefit from using a traffic rotator? How is effective split testing used with traffic rotators? A traffic rotator is very useful tool when utilized properly.

A traffic rotator is a link where you can insert multiple links within itself. So everytime your click on the the rotator link, it will cycle thru all the links your put into the rotator link evenly. If you are promoting more than one program or running more than one advertisement at a time, this can be very useful and time effective. All you need to do when you want to change your link rotation is change one or more of the links in your traffic rotator url. This feature is used by the majority of marketers online however, traffic rotators can be used for a more important tactic.

Traffic rotators are one of the best ways to split test your links to find out which ones are the most effective with pulling in sales or double opin subscribers. Lets say that you have 5 links in a traffic rotator and they all are geared toward getting optin subscribers.

Lets say these links look like this for example….

yoursite.com/yoursite1.html
yoursite.com/yoursite2.html
yoursite.com/yoursite3.html
yoursite.com/yoursite4.html
yoursite.com/yoursite5.html

Now you will create a redirect URL for your double optin autoresponder which will redirect the subscriber to another website after they enter their name and e-mail address.
Now the trick is to track your redirect url so that you know which rotator url your subscribers come from.

So lets say your tracking links look like this…

yoursite.com/track1
yoursite.com/track2
yoursite.com/track3
yoursite.com/track4
yoursite.com/track5

If your redirect url is tracked with yoursite.com/track2 more than the other tracked redirects than you will see which rotator link is performing better than the others. Now you can promote that more effective rotator link and delete the other less effective ones.
This is one way to effectively split test your sites and save yourself time and money looking for productive links and sales copy.

Not tracking your ads is ultimately costing your money. If you are able to promote an effective ad for a prolonged period of time and create sales without any additional effort besides advertising then you are doing yourself a huge favor.

So take the time to split test your ads, it doesn’t take very long and does not take much effort but reaps huge rewards.

Don’t Make My Idiotic Mistake! Build Your List

Don’t follow my idiotic mistake!

Yes it took me 2 yeas of trying to market online until I finally got this concept brutaly pounded into my head. BUILD YOUR DARN LIST! If you have heard of this and haven’t gotten around to doing it, your just spinning your wheels.

I worked my rear off marketing for 2 straight years nonstop and built sizeable downlines in multiple programs. Sure I made a few bucks here and there but what was digging myself a deep grave. Today, all these programs I built downlines are gone and had nothing to show for it. I was promoting somebody else and not myselft. I am not saying promoting affiliate links is a bad thing but just remember… would you rather promote affiliate links from you optin list or promote these same links with hard work?

So before you do anything else: build a website, create and newsletter, and start promoting your site and newsletter. This will save you tons of time and headaches in the long run. Build your list by giving away free software, ebooks, and offers. I would recommend giving away a viral e-book to new subscribers personally.

I don’t know about you but I don’t want to work nonstop all day long marketing. If I wanted to do that I would just go out and find a job right? You probably want to be lazy like me and wake up late and go to bed early knowing your gonna make money either way. So 25,000+ subscribers later I can feel comfortable doing that. I am not saying you can be lazy but you get the point :)

It is much easier to promote affiliate programs or your own programs for that matter when you can e-mail several thousand subscribers about it.

So heres some extra benefits of building a list will bring you….

1. offer paid ads in your newsletter
2. promoting affiliate links or your programs mentioned above
3. potential viral sales
4. days, weeks, months, and years of residual income potential
5. future Joint Ventures with your subscribers or other webmasters affiliated with your business

Those are just a few of the benefits of building a list offers, I am sure you can find other good reasons if you put your mind to work.

Be careful! Once you have a list its up to your to maintain it. Watch what you promote or recommend. For the most part stick to your “newsletters theme.” Its okay to go off topic every once in awhile but keep that to a minimum. Remember that you have a good reputation to keep and if you start angering your subscibers or flood their e-mail box with offers your business will start to sink.

Email Automatic Responder

What is a email automatic responder?

If you run an online business or send a large amount of e-mail periodically you may have found if being a very tedious task. Email automatic responders called “autoresponders” eliminate this task completely. Well almost :)

Email automatic responders allow you to followup automatically with any prospect or lead automatically. This is very important if you offer a free discount, information or gift as a subscriber bonus. From here you are able to capitalize on the potential of your email automatic responder or autoresponder in the form of followup automation.

You can write a pre written e-mail series that automatically mails each customer or lead capture on an automated basis. As you can see this saves tons of time in planning. And more importantly, giving you exta time to plan or research other important strategies for your business.

Another great feature most email automatic responders offer are broadcasts. This is very important for a business to utilize. Broadcasts e-mail your whole database of subscribers with one click. This is very helpful if you run a bi weekly or monthly newsletter so that you can keep all subscribers in one area as opposed to opening another e-mail account elsewhere.

Two key elements that you should be looking for in a email automatic responder are…

1. double optin capability
2. email deliverability

the email automatic responder is use is called “Emailaces” which can be found in my signature…

The great concept of using double optin lead caputer is simple. Won’t get in trouble or spamming! If people double optin to your autoresponder they have no right to complain about e-mail and they can quickly and easily unsubscribe anytime the like. Another good feature is that you don’t want people who are not excited about your offer. If they were excited when they signed up, they will be excited when wait for the double optin confirmation email. If they never double optin that means they didn’t care much for the offer and unlikely would never have purchased anything from you anyway. You want to deal with excited and enthusiastic prospects who are looking for the edge your product or service will give them.

E-mail deliverability! If your e-mails or more importantly your double optin confirmation e-mail is not getting through you have a serious problem. That is why you don’t join just any email automatic responder as they are not equally effective. Make sure that you have a guarantee that a certain percentage of your e-mails are being delivered. If your email automatic responder provider has no clue, its better to look elsewhere.

List-Building

How and where are you going to get subscribers to you list?

List building is a very tall order for a beginning marketer. Many new marketers don’t get to building their optin list until a year or two after they start dabbling online. How can something so simple and so important get forgotten and unused?

You are either 1 or 2 type of people…

1. you work hard promoting in traffic exchanges, forums, groups ect. and still are unable to make a significant dent in potential sales on the net.

2. you have worked hard for several months marketing your rear off and you have built 1,100 subscribers and have a followup series in place to generate sales.

It doesn’t take long to figure out that you want to be person #2. Bottom line is that you should be building your list before you start promoting anything online. How? I’ll keep it really simple! Give away free e-books, guides, software, advertising, information, and generally anything people could ever want. And before they can gain access your free gift they have to double optin to your list! Pretty easy huh? well actually it is if you think about it. Just think…. if you were able to capture 2,500 subscribers or more a year then have 2,500 or more people that will buy from you again and again and again!

Get the point? I thought so!

Did you know that there are some tricks to getting some additional subscribers? They are called ezine swaps or thank your pages. Quite simply, meaning that you receive additional ad exposures from other top Ezine lists. In return you also show these same top ezines when people subscribe to your list.

Heres how it works. You worked hard to signup a subscriber right? Well now they must double opt-in meaning that they must confirm their subscription to your newsletter or autoresponder. When you subscriber clicks the confirmation link they will be brought to a thank you page that will feature additional ezines that they can subscribe too. They can either subscribe to additional ezines or click out.
Each time someone confirms a subscription you will receive a credit at the “List Builder” program that you chose to use as your thank your page provider.
Your credits will be used the same way and shown as additional ezines on other top newsletter subscriptions.

Once you try these thank you page “List Builders” you will be amazed at how many extra subscribers you pull in each week. I can tell you from experience that I average around 30 or more subscriptions each week with these thank you ads.

The list program that I use which in my opinion has the best ratio of 2 credits for one thank you page show is Advertising Know How’s List Builder. Don’t worry, you can find it in my signature below at the end of the article.

How do you install the thank you page URL? Very simple, lets use e-mail aces for example. Once you login into your back office there is a tab that includes autoresponder options. Scroll down and you will find confirmation redirect. Simply copy and paste your Advertising Know How’s list builder url in there and start gaining credits with your double optin confirmations.

Viral Marketing

If you haven’t heard of the term viral marketing then it can be a hard concept to grasp. No you won’t get sick :) Viral marketing is term used when your marketing efforts snowball into a larger and larger flow of traffic to your website. There are many ways to create a viral marketing snowball using referrals, multilevel downlines, word of mouth, mult-tiered commissions to name just a few.My favorite viral marketing techniques concentrate on rebranding e-books.
What is rebranding an e-book? Well lets say for instance that you are given an e-book that had various links, programs, and marketing tools in it. And lets say that you bought a tool that you particularly liked in the ebook.

The person who gave you the book would get a commission. Why do you ask? The individual who gave you the e-book probably paid a small fee to rebrand the e-book with his own affiliate links.

Now you decide to rebrand the e-book because you see the same potential. As you start to rebrand the e-book you will begin to signup for the same affiliate programs and tools listed in the book. You are then placed in the 2nd tier affiliate program of the person who referred you the book. Now when you start making commissions he will also get a commission percentage.

Now you can see the powerful viral marketing concept. For each person that rebrands the e-book a larger snowball of traffic and sales increases.

Some good ways to giveaway such e-books are to tell visitors that they will get instant access to such and such e-book when they subscribe to your newsletter. So not only are you practicing viral marketing but you are also expanding your email list.

When a customer searches on google they are looking for targeted information and what better giving them multiple facents of information with the same niche.There are three reasons why viral e-book marketing will snowball your advertising efforts…

1. Customers are much more likely to find the information they are looking for in a targeted information driven e-book, thus creating more sales.

2. Visitors may find the book extremely useful and decide to rebrand the e-book and give it to their subscribers. This creates a multilevel commission potential.

3. Search engines will start to pick the book and you will start accumulating a wave of new sales and subscribers.

As you can see this is an excellent way to increase sales, subscribers, and referrals without lifting a finger. Welcome to the power of Viral Marketing.

There are plenty of e-book out there to choose from for your niche. You can make a search on google and look for a rebrandable e-book in your area of expertise.

Traffic Rotator

There are thousands of traffic exchanges out there and at one time I used to surf 98 or so a day. Since then I learned that the most popular exchanges are surfed by everybody frequently so it is much better to concentrate your efforts on 4 to 16 exchanges depending on your internet connection speed. This way you will accumulate many more credits in select exchanges and get your affiliate site seen by a large percentage of people more than once. The more people who see your website over and over the more inclined they are to check it out. I will explain more in depth on how to make your stand out from the crowd when I get the tools out that are the best for you to join. The most important thing that will save you a lot of time is to use a rotator that will rotator more than one affiliate url. You can simply go and log into your rotator site and change your link anytime you’d like without having to log into all your traffic exchanges and doing it manually. The best rotator that is out there can be found at Page Swirl . Its very easy to use and they give you 5 sites to rotate as a free member. I have never had the need to upgrade to unlimited sites but you can if you choose.

Traffic Exchange Branding

You need to stand out when your pages are being shown! When you start surfing you will see many pages of all different varieties. You may see a number of pages from the same type of business depending on what is hot on the net at the current moment. The problem with that is that you don’t know who is behind those pages and who is promoting them. The chances are that if you saw the same name all the time promoting a business with an e-mail address you may be inclined to check out what they have or e-mail them.You will probably get the perception that they know what they are doing and are very successful online. Now what if you were that person showing your name along with your business, phone number and e-mail? You will start receiving e-mails and phone call from people asking you to help mentor them and help them make money. Its alot easier to market when people come to you.

In addition to standing out from the crowd you need to generate leads! yes leads! The best way to generate leads is to create a lead capture page promising them some type of valuable information. All they need to do is submit their name and e-mail address and your auto responder will automatically follow up with a series of messeges containing your promise to them.

You not only will sell your information to your subscribers but you will also be able to shoot them random e-mails outside of your automatic messege series relating the same information. There are a number of paid autoresponders out there but if your budget is small I would think about using emailaces for free.

A Good Autoresponder

How many free autoresponders have you tried? Really how many? And how many emails did you get through using them? How do you know? How many people opened your followup message?My point here is that if you have no clue for the answers above you probably are not operating a followup campaign successfully. These are crucial element that must be explored when you are choosing an autoresponder.

Some good steps to take to ensure you are getting what you need out of a autoresponder include… Compare your autoresponder with those of top marketers, chances are they are using the best in the business. You can’t go wrong with this step!

Other observations you might make are related to spam filters. Have you ever gotten an e-mail and seen something like this…”F`R`E`E” Yes this is a good way to beat the spam filters as they won’t read Free they will read something totally different. However it can be time consuming going through your article and finding which words are “Danger” words. This can go along way in your marketing efforts. So make sure you find an autoresponder that has a spam rating feature… these features will automatically show you where in your article your “Danger” words are.

Another crucial element of e-mail marketing are your statistics. How many e-mails are being opened can tell you if your subject line is any good or if you did a good job branding your name. If you know your e-mail statistics you are one step in the right direction in optimizing your potential sales. Finding an autoresponder that shows in depth analysis with your followups are also key.

What should a followup contain? Good question… My personally experience suggests directing your subscribers to a full article located on the web. There are some good reasons for this. You can create an excitement teaser in the followup e-mail and beg your article to be read on the web. There is also the chance that since you have an article archive on the web many subscribers will often read more than just your original article. Your subscriber might not be interested in one article but they may find what they are looking for browsing through your previous articles.

Broadcasting! So your subscribers are finished receiving their original followup series… now what? Find an auto responder that allows you to broadcast an update or an offer to the entire subscriber list. Don’t let your subscribers go to waste, this feature is a must!

Remember not to bore your hard earned subscribers. Present them with a problem and offer them a solution! Its that easy…

Banner Exchange Secrets

Banner exchanges are not as effective as they once were but hey free advertising is free advertising. Especially when you don’t have to go out of your way to advertise it exclusively. What do I mean? Well I use banner exchanges only on traffic exchanges at the very bottom of my ads. For those of you who are not familiar with banner exchanges, they are virtually the same as traffic exchanges.I put banner exchanges on the bottom of my ad in the traffic exchanges and put a caption like, “Banner Exchange Sponsor Ad.” You are killing two birds with one stone here. You are clearly telling your visitors that you are using a banner exchange on your ad so they don’t click thinking you are the owner of the banner.

You are also don’t need to do any extra advertising to use banner exchanges. You can look at an example of a banner exchange on one of my traffic exchange ads here.

You can probably get away with putting two banner exchanges on the same page. This way you will produce credits in the traffic exchange and you will also be racking up banner impressions somewhere else on the web!

It takes some browsing and research to find the right banner exchange to match your business. This way you are more likely to get a higher click thru percentage (which is a good thing). You can see around a 1% conversion rate for your clicks with a good exchange. A huge banner exchanges usually have different categories to choose from to fit your business.

Best Banner Exchanges

I currently use the 3 best banner exchanges that distribute my banner impressions the quickest. I usually get a ratio for about 30 clicks on my banners from each three exchanges per month. Obviously you not going to light up the traffic charts but remember that banner exchange click thrus are of higher quality.

Here are the 3 best that I use and pleased witht the results…

* Banners Go MLM- this banner exchange is by far the fastest at showing your banner on other peoples pages. For some reason I also get a higher click thru ratio from them as well.

* Rx2 Super Banners- Rx2 is ranked very high as far as quality traffic and click thrus

* TDH Banners- I know the owner personally on this exchange and she does a really great job keeping your banners showing smoothly.

Simply put the banner html for each exchange into your traffic exchange ad. You can look at one of my ads for example (TDH Banners On Ad). Now that you have done that, make sure that you have your own banner uploaded on their server so that you can get click thrus. You can use a banners that a business you are promoting provides or you can create your own at Free Addesigner.

Autosurf For Hits

Autosurfs do not work! There I said it. If you are expecting to get a legitimate online business off the ground using autosurfs think again. Hey did you know there is a trick to get unlimited credits in… Ts25, Traffic Pods, and Hitpulse.

Ts25, Traffic Pods, and Hitpulse give you extra credits for showing their referral page. So having an autosurf show your referral pages with no work on your part is a great way to wrack up massive free credits. There are alot of autosurfs to choose from using these techniques but the problem is that most autosurfs have many frame breakers and errors that are counter productive. I have found several autosurfs that run smoothly so that you can run them overnight without any problems.

Before I show you the most productive autosurfs and that nifty trick I would like to show you the browser you should use. The best browser that I have found can be found at Opera.com Once dowloaded go to bookmarks and copy and paste your autosurf url into a folder labeled autosurf. This way you can open your bookmarks in all tabs across your browser.

Now that you signed up for profitrally you can look around later but what you need to do is put your referral links for ts25 and traffic pods under the traffic exchange section. Article Submissions

If you are not submitting articles to article directories you should start now.
I had been online for several years and always heard that you needed to submit articles. Of course I never did for the fact that I didn’t have a clue about search engine optimizations and since I didn’t, I really had no need to submit articles.Boy was I wrong! In fact I don’t know if I have ever been so wrong in my life :) To this day I don’t know much about search engines but I don’t really need to. I get close to 1200 hits a day just from articles that I have submitted to numerous directories.

Submitting an article is just as easy as it sounds, write an article and submit it.
However if you don’t find the effort rewarding like I did you would never start. So I am going to try to do my best to convince you otherwise.

A good strategy that I have come up with is everytime I write an article and add it to my website I also submit it to the numerous article directories that I have found and added to my notepad. I have 47 article directories saved in my notepad it only takes about an hour to submit one article to all of them.

On average I send around 3 articles a week to those 47 directories and on average I net 15-25 sales a week on various programs. If you think about it 1 hour a day is nothing compared to the rewards.

I have also started to use Isnare to auto submit my article to hundreds of ezine publishers a day which is a steal for only $2 bucks I spend a day.
Ezine announcer isn’t to shabby either. Remember that I don’t know much about search engines and I get around 100 unique visitors a day to my blog from google.

When you start submitting articles at a rapid pace as I do you will see outstanding results. You probably won’t believe your eyes as I did when sales start flooding your inbox. Something this simple should not be overlooked by any marketer and I hope this article shows you why.

Online Groups

Yahoo Groups: I see countless marketers on shoestring budges turn to traffic exchanges for free traffic. If they would spend the time creating online groups rather than clicking for traffic they would see much more quality traffic. By no means am I saying throw in the towel on traffic exchanges as I use a number of them.

Would you rather click a thousand times for 80 unique visitors daily or would you like to receive hundreds or more unique visitors daily. (not mentioning repeat visitors) I thought so…

With hundreds of thousands of people visiting the yahoo group directory you can’t help but get excited. I have 18 groups, each one in a different business category of the yahoo directory.

A great way to get your group noticed is to create a group description consisting of html. Don’t worry, there are numerous areas on the web where you can learn basic html. Take a tour and see what kind of resources yahoo groups offer. In addition to the welcome page and links, I encourage you to send a automatic file that goes out each week containing cutting edge marketing techniques and resources.

So what are the benefits of owning your own group? Heres a few for example, members who are joining you group to post their business are now part of you opt-in list. These same people come back daily to post their business or product creating residual exposure to your business. Most of the posters are in it for the quick riches which will never happen. With the proper training and exposure, these people will buy into you business join your down line just from the daily exposure of your business on the group.

When you start reaching several thousand members you will start working your way up the yahoo group directory since groups are ranked by the number of members you have. You will not only create residual traffic with your members but also with visitors locating your group in the yahoo directory. When you feel comfortable with your ranking open a new group in a different yahoo biz category. You can start your own yahoo group here. Remember to use the principles above to create a massive residual traffic flow.

Msn Groups: I would like to introduce another group to you, “msn groups.” These group are ranked by group activity which is not hard to achieve with what you have just learned. Take a look at different members groups to gain a feel for whata they are promoting and running things. Once again these groups are very friendly to posting your business or product. As you can see, link structures are setup different from a yahoo group. Links Are Uploaded to a link directory from your computer to the group site. You can get your msn group started by searching for msn groups.

You also have the option to e-mail members as much as you like with the msn groups feature. Remember that is important not to spam your members as it will lead to unsubscriptions which leads lower activity lower ranking. I usually e-mail my members twice a month at the most. I have found it very effective to release information on your latest articles and free e-books. Giving away free information will gain you respect and a good reputation which will pay huge dividends later on!

Once you get these two groups running you will be able to cross promote them with each group. You will be getting a majority of the same members in each of these groups which will bolster your ranking and create residual traffic.

The most effective ways to market groups are to promote them in traffic exchanges, classified ads, and forums.
